Angklung : Indonesian Music Traditional with Saung Mang Udjo Theater

Angklung, these names may seem strange in your ears. For those of you who do not known, Angklung is Indonesian traditional musical instrument which comes from the Land of Sunda (West Java), made from bamboo, which sounded shaken by the way (the sound caused by impact bodies of bamboo pipes) thus producing sounds that vibrate in the arrangement of tone 2, 3, to 4 tones in every size, both large and small. Playing a musical instrument angklung not as easy as imagined. Need to sensitivities to shake a sense of angklung in order to soft pitched noises.

Saung Mang Udjo.located on Jl. Padasuka 118, Bandung . Performance arts in the auditorium

1. Performing puppet.
So there is a puppet show which made a Sundanese folklore by a puppeteer. The story is not important, but that Western tourists really amazed to see a show puppet show can be excited and moved plus a mastermind who can change the sound of himself according to the puppet role play it.

2. Circumcision ceremony.
That is the celebration of a simulated new-boy in circumcision, plus songs of joy from the children of the neighborhood ... accompaniment angklung. Each child brings an angklung. They sing out loud while playing angklung in his hand. The result? compact and amazing views.

3. Mask dance.

4. Sarumba.
Namely "Voice of a bamboo grove" (meaning angklung). 5. Learn angklung.
Finally ....! We, who had just cool to watch, now can learn angklung at the seat. Cute kids who had it all spread out and lend an angklung to us. We are taught by a trained guide who already speak English. So the audience was taught to ring a one angklung in our hands. And the children were still sitting spread .... Teach us with their cute style to ring the angklung. Exclamation.

6. Angklung Orchestra.
